Innovo Storage ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Innovo Storage QuickBooks Online Integration application (the "Application"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Application to connect with QuickBooks Online.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Application is designed for internal use by authorized Innovo Storage personnel to synchronize accounting data between our ERP system and QuickBooks Online.
2. Information We Access
When you authorize the Application to connect to your QuickBooks Online account, we may access the following types of data:
- Company information — company name and identifiers necessary to establish the connection.
- Customer and vendor records — names, addresses, and contact information stored in QuickBooks Online.
- Financial transaction data — invoices, bills, payments, credit memos, journal entries, and related accounting records.
- Chart of accounts — account names, types, and balances.
- Product and service items — names, descriptions, and pricing information.
We access only the data necessary to perform accounting data synchronization between our ERP system and QuickBooks Online.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information accessed through QuickBooks Online solely for the following purposes:
- Synchronizing accounting data between our internal ERP system (Odoo) and QuickBooks Online.
- Reconciling records between systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Generating internal reports for accounting and operational purposes.
We do not use your QuickBooks Online data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to accounting synchronization.
4. Data Storage and Security
- OAuth tokens — access and refresh tokens are stored locally on our secured server and are used solely to maintain the authorized connection to QuickBooks Online. Tokens are never shared with third parties.
- Synchronized data — accounting data exported from QuickBooks Online is stored on our secured server for synchronization purposes. This data is protected by standard server security measures including restricted access, encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), and regular security updates.
- No third-party sharing — we do not sell, rent, or share your QuickBooks Online data with any third parties.
- No cloud storage of credentials — your QuickBooks Online credentials are never stored by our Application. Authentication is handled entirely through Intuit's OAuth 2.0 flow.
5. Data Retention
We retain synchronized accounting data for as long as necessary to fulfill the synchronization purposes described in this policy. OAuth tokens are retained only while the connection is active. When you disconnect the Application, tokens are deleted from our server.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You may at any time:
- Disconnect — revoke the Application's access to your QuickBooks Online account by disconnecting it from within QuickBooks Online or by contacting us.
- Request deletion — request that we delete any synchronized data stored on our servers by contacting us at the address below.
- Review access — request a summary of what data the Application has accessed from your QuickBooks Online account.
7. Children's Privacy
This Application is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
